Jenny Tsiropoulou is a freelance journalist based in Athens and Lesbos. She has collaborated as a reporter and field producer with the internationally acclaimed media Al Jazeera, VICE, Euronews, Bild, Middle East Eye, The Christian Science Monitor emphasizing on human rights and migration topics. She has worked for the Greek media tvxs.gr, Solomon, METRO Magazine, VICE Greece. She is a contributor on the cooperative website ThePressProject. She was the editor-in-chief of the documentary series “ROADS” for the national public broadcaster ERT. She has written and directed the short documentary “Carols” (2021) reflecting upon life and death in a morgue. Jenny studied Law at Aristotle University, Thessaloniki and holds two master’s degrees: Global Media & Postnational Communication from SOAS, University of London and Documentary Production from the University of the Aegean, Greece. She lived three years in London and three years in Tunisia. She speaks English and French.
